In the final days of an already great sales year for Cessna, the Wichita-based manufacturere scored several fleet sales with European customers.
Four European flight training facilities are upgrading theier aircraft fleets with new Cessna 172 Skyhawks. VHM, a flight school and charter operator based in Essen, Germany, has added two Cessna 172 equipped with Garmin G1000 glass cockpits to their existing fleet. They intend to replace parts of their fleet in the near future with another four aircraft. EuroFlyers in Spain is replacing 14 aircraft for initial and instrument training with new Cessna 172 Skyhawks. 12 of the deliveries are scheduled to take place in 2007. The Romanian Aviation Academy in Bucharest, Romania, doubled theier existing fleet of four Cessna 172 Skyhawks and the Italian Aeroclub Milano has signed an order for two 172 with Garmin G1000. In 2007, Cessna celebrates its 80th anniversary.
