Hawker Beechcraft Corporation achieved first flight of the Hawker 750 on August 23, 2007.
The aircraft took of from Wichita's Beech Field with Bill Bavara and Tim Whitney at the controls. The first flight lasted for 55 minutes. The new Hawker 750 is an evolution of the mid-size Hawker 800-series. It will be a 2,100 Nautical mile IFR range airplane with four passengers. It will have the same cabin as the Hawker-800-series, but the ventral fuel tank will be replaced with a heated external baggage compartment with 32 cubic feet of additional baggage capacity. Priced at $11.2 million standard and $11.9 million typically equipped in 2007 dollars, certification of the Hawker 750 is planned for late Q4 2007 with deliveries beginning in early 2008.
