The Raytheon Aircraft Company of Wichita, Kansas, has been sold by the Raytheon Company to the newly founded Hawker Beechcraft Company.
The deal is worth 3.3 billion dollar and is expected to close in the first half of 2007. Hawker Beechcraft Corporation is formed by GS Capital Partners, an affiliat of Goldman Sachs, and Onex Partners. The transaction includes Raytheon Aircraft facilities and other assets in Wichita and Salina, Kansas, Little Rock, Arkansas, Dallas, Texas, as well as its FBO netweork across the United States, Mexicon and the United Kingdom.
